Request for Proposal - ISP - Athens Regional Library System

The Athens Regional Library System is requesting pricing for a 1-year contract with the option for (2) 1-year extensions for all 11 branch locations. We are also requesting pricing for a 3-year contract with the option for a 1-year extension for all 11 branch locations. The Internet services shall commence on July 1, 2018 at the 11 branch locations.

Our goal is selecting an Internet Service Provider that can provide Internet Access with sufficient speed and bandwidth needed at 11 branch locations for the Athens Regional Library System.

Internet Service Providers should be able to deliver the following features: Managed Internet service, Static IP address allocation for continued access to IP-based library resources, CIPA compliant content filtering and firewall, and monitoring and support of the Internet connection.

The Athens Regional Library System (ARLS) invites vendors to submit proposals in accordance with the terms and conditions of this Request for Proposal (RFP). This RFP provides the requirements and evaluative criteria for Internet services and requests a detailed response from all prospective vendors, including pricing and service descriptions, in a specified format.

Q: Are there any right of way issues for Pinewoods for placement of fiber?
A: Yes. Unless there is some other way to get fiber into the neighborhood (such as aerial lines), we would need an alternative to fiber, such as T1 lines, upgraded T1 lines or other solution.

Q: If the underlying carrier does not allow a 12-month agreement, will you accept a 24-month option in its place.
A: Yes.

Q: Will you extend deadline to Feb. 9th at 2 pm?
