Libraries Rock! Summer Reading Program

It’s time for the Summer Reading Program! We all know that LIBRARIES ROCK so join us for a rockin’ summer!

Family Fun Day!

We will kick of the summer with a bang at our annual Family Fun Day on May 19 from 10:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. Be a reading rock star! Pick up your reading logs and join us for a host of fantastic family activities at our fabulous summer kick-off! The first 250 children to sign up will receive a free Libraries Rock book bag.

  • 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Sam’s Path Petting Zoo/Crafts, Games & Activities/Rock Star Photo Booth/Music with Maggie Hunter
  • 12:00 p.m. – Performance: Jeffini the Great’s Reading Rock Stars! - Magic, Music and Puppets! For children of all ages. In Multipurpose Rooms.

This event is proudly sponsored by The Friends of the Athens-Clarke County Library, Revival Yarns, Satisfactory Screenprinting and Design, Up ‘N Away Balloons, and the Smiling Robin.

Join us for a special artist workshop Tuesday, May 22, 2:30 p.m. highlighting these two iconic graphic novel characters as we vote for our favorite and learn how to draw Dog Man and Baby Mouse.
