Officer Buckle and Gloria

Officer Buckle wrote lots of safety rules. Sometimes he would go for a visit at the local school and read all his safety rules to the children. This bored the children and they all misbehaved or fell asleep. One day, the police department got a new police dog named Gloria. Officer Buckle brought Gloria with him to Napville School. While Officer Buckle was reading his list of safety tips, Gloria started to do tricks, like standing upside down or doing flips. The students loved learning about safety tips when they had Gloria around! Trouble is, Officer Buckle didn’t know Gloria was doing tricks. He thought all the children were paying attention to him! Read Officer Buckle and Gloria and find out what happens when Officer Buckle finds out that Gloria is "helping" him with his safety rule lectures. This book is also a Caldecott Medal winner for its fabulous artwork!
