Raindrops Roll by April Pulley Sayre is an absolutely lovely nonfiction book. Stunning photographs accompany simple descriptions of the process of rain and its effects on nature. This book is dripping with information and even has an extra section that details the science behind the images seen in the book. With rhymes simple enough to entertain younger readers and pictures intricate enough to engage older readers, this book makes a great read aloud for families to enjoy together.

Ballet Cat: The Totally Secret Secret

Ballet Cat and her friend Sparkles the Pony are trying to decide what to do one day. Sparkles the Pony makes suggestions, but Ballet Cat points out that those activities won't be possible while they're leaping, spinning, and twirling.
