Celebrate the 50th anniversary of the lunar landing with an afternoon at the library!

12:30 p.m.: Dr. David Cotton will give a presentation of UGA’s NASA award-winning CubeSats program.

2:00 p.m.: UGA Physicist Dr. Loris Magnani will talk about the future of manned space exploration, followed by a free screening of the 2019 documentary film, Apollo 11. This film has never-before-seen NASA footage of the Apollo 11 mission, and it is spectacular! After the movie, there will be drawings for 3D-printed Sea of Tranquility lunar landing site models and a grand prize drawing for a 3D-printed model of the lunar module. In Appleton Auditorium.

Virtual Reality Space Edition

VRThursday, July 18, 2 p.m.

Join us for a space battle in real time with our Virtual Reality experience. We will also make the moon phases with Oreo cookies. Yum! In Multipurpose Room A.
