Saturday, November 11, 2017, 4:00 - 5:00 p.m.

You've seen the gorgeous rustic knits on the Outlander show; don't you wish you could have one of your own? In partnership with Revival Yarns, the Athens-Clarke County Library is offering a Claire's Cowl Knit-a-Long leading up to our Outlander Event on December 2nd. If you've never knitted before, there are 10 spots reserved for those who want to learn to knit using the Claire's Cowl pattern. If you are not a beginner, come to socialize with your fellow knitters and Outlander fans. Coffee provided.
We will use a free online pattern: Claire's Cowl, which is available on Ravelry as a free download. Call the library or email This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. if you have any questions.

Saturday, November 11, 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. Multipurpose Room A

Notable Genealogist Rosemary Cantrell will present a brief history of the WWI that will help genealogists understand the context of the war and its effect on different countries. Although the fire at the National Archives in St. Louis destroyed most of the WWI personnel records, there are many sources to help in researching the soldier in order to find his story. The presentation will conclude with a case study about one such soldier and his story.
