Things Fall Apart by Chinua Achebe: This novel was originally published in 1958 and quickly became a worldwide best seller. Currently more than two million copies of Achebe's novel have been sold in the U.S. and more than eight million copies in fifty different languages are in print throughout the world. It is the "simple" story of Nigerian tribal life before and after colonialism. Anyone interested in joining this discussion may check out a book with a valid PINES library card at the circulation desk.
