Saving CeeCee Honeycutt by Beth Hoffman: This southern charmer novel recounts 12-year-old Cecelia Rose Honeycutt's recovery from a childhood with her crazy, southern beauty queen mother, Camille, and cantankerous father, Carl. Once her mother is struck by an ice cream truck, Cecelia is whisked away to a life of privilege in Savannah, GA with her great aunt, Tootie. Warm yet heartbreaking, and generously spiced with humor, Saving CeeCee Honeycutt is the story of a girl who loses her mother but finds many others under a balmy Georgia sun. -Publisher
