Seeking a Few Good Men & Women
The Friends Board consists of 21 members, with a 7 member cohort rotating off the board each year. The term of service is 3 years. New members are elected at the annual May meeting, with vacanies being filled during the year if they arise. The Board meets monthly on the first Tuesday of each month at 7:00 p.m. The Friends is a 501c(3) non-profit organization that supports the library in numerous ways - hosting annual Café au Libris author events and the monthly Live@the Library concert series, as well as providing supplemental funding for a wide array of programs such as the Summer Reading program for children and teens, and year- round teen events. Funding for these programs comes from our popular annual used book sales, membership dues and donations, and other fundraising efforts.
