This is the perfect class to begin using word processing software. The class will concentrate on the basics which include saving, opening, and printing Word documents. Students will learn to recognize the parts of the Microsoft Word 2007 window (Quick Access toolbar, ribbon, Office button, groups). The instructor will also teach students how to format text by changing the size, font or style (bold, italic, and underlined) and how to insert clipart. The Introduction to Word class is a wonderful way to take those first steps to word processing. Basic computer skills are a prerequisite. Only four people per class so make sure to pre-register at the Oglethorpe County Library by calling 706-743-8817 or stop by 858 Athens Road. It's free!
