Mobile Computer Class - Basic Internet Skills

Mobile Computer Labs are rolling into Northeast Georgia, ready to meet a slew of people eager to learn and enhance their computer skills. The Athens Regional Library System is teaming up with the Northeast Georgia Regional Commission to provide classes on computer basics, internet and email in addition to e-readers, Microsoft Office programs, and social networking.

The classes will be held on location in a large van that is fully outfitted with computer equipment and a trainer. Classes will include 90 minutes of instruction followed by an hour for students to practice their new skills.

Computer classes will be held on Thursdays at 2:00 p.m. starting April 4. The topics are: "Introduction to Computers" (April 4 &May 30), "Basic Internet Skills" (April 18), "Introduction to Microsoft Word 2010" (May 2) and "Introduction to Microsoft Excel 2010" (May 16).

These classes are free and open to the public, but reservations are required. Please call the Winterville Library at (706) 742-7735 to register.
