This new initiative makes sure toddlers and preschoolers are ready to start school. The goal is to read 1000 books before your child enters kindergarten. So grab one of our logs and get reading!

The Local History Book Club is a reading group that meets on the third Thursday of each month to discuss that month's assigned reading. This month we will discuss Annals of Athens, Georgia, 1801-1901 by Augustus Longstreet Hull and Henry Hull.
First published in 1906 to perpetuate the history of Athens and her people, the book begins with sketches written by Dr. Henry Hull. These recollections were first published in 1879 in the Southern Watchman and covered the period through 1825. Augustus Longstreet Hull then told the rest of the story through 1906.
Copies of the book are available for circulation.
Come and craft with Nina on Tuesday as she teaches you how to make a felt box. It would make a cute Valentine's Day gift if you filled it with candy and guess what?!?! We've got candy!!! Hate Valentine's Day? No problem because Nina has felt that is anti-Valentine's Day as well!!! Our crafternoon starts at 4:30. Come join us!
