Dr. Douglas Ealey, a sociology professor at the University of North Georgia will lead the five discussions focusing on the topic of “Pathways of Faith.” March 4th discussion will be on the book, The Story of the Qur'an. March 25th discussion will be on the book, The Art of the Hajj. Registration for the discussion is required and limited to 25. Participants will checkout a copy of the book with their PINES card.
The Library received the Muslim Journeys Bookshelf, a collection of 26 books related to the people, places, history, faith, and cultures of Muslims around the world, including those within the United States. The bookshelf is provided by the American Library Association and the National Endowment for the Humanities.

Meet the author and hear selections from his latest book, "Hitchhiking with Salmon". Bowen Craig is the author of three books. He writes a funny weekly blog for the Athens Patch. He writes for Lake Oconee Living magazine, as well as his hometown paper and magazine (the Dalton Citizen and Dalton magazine). He's worked as a playwright and volunteer at the Circle Ensemble Theatre Company. Bo runs a publishing company in town called Bilbo Books as well, specializing in memoirs and children's books. The Oconee County Library Friends will sell the author's books and provide light refreshments.
