The Battle of Alsace presented by Bill Cosgrove

Operation “Nordwind” (Northwind) was launched by the German Army on New Year’s Eve, 1944 into the Alsace area of eastern France.
Our presenter, Bill Cosgrove, who has recently visited the battle area with Rod Davis, the Athens area coordinator for the “Witness to War” program, will discuss the importance of the battle to American infantry. The talk will also feature many “then and now” photos which highlight this bitter battle in the Low Voges Mountains and Rhine River plain.
Affordable Health Care Act Seminar
Saturday, November 16, 2:00 - 5:00 p.m.
Free seminar facilitated by Cassandra Tucker from the University of Georgia. The seminar will answer questions about the cost, types of coverage, available tax credits, and registration requirements for the new health care law. The seminars are free and open to the public.
