‘Tracing Slaveholdings & Slavery in the family’ Webinar

Come learn about some of the challenges that genealogists and family historians face related to tracing slave-holdings and slavery within families; explore the personal relationships and history in instituting slavery on the family, including present day consequences.

Take part in this free webinar presented Pam L. Smith, Family Historian. Once the webinar is finished, you will be able to use the library’s computers to conduct your research!

‘Finding the Slave Generation’ Webinar

Thursday, February 20, 4:30 p.m.

This course will help you understand some basic research strategies to find your family who lived before the Civil War. Come take part in this free webinar presented by Angela McComas through the Midwest Genealogy Center.
