Do you know what you can do with your library card?

Your library card allows you to check out books, movies, and audiobooks, all for free. But that's not all. You can also check out free passes to state parks and other attractions, access online tutorials for standardized tests like the SAT and GRE, and download ebooks and audiobooks for your portable devices.

In addition to the services available with your library card, you can also take advantage of computer labs, wireless internet, passport services, public meeting rooms and more.

  • Northeast Georgia Talking Book Center - The Northeast Georgia Talking Book Center provides free library services for patrons with visual, physical, and reading disabilities. Requires an application.
  • Computers - All branches in the Athens Regional Library System have computers and software available for free use by the public.
  • Computer Classes - Several branches teach classes about using computers and software; some branches offer one-on-one tutorial sessions.
  • Passports - The Athens-Clarke County Library accepts passport applications on behalf of the U.S. Department of State.
  • Public Meeting Rooms - Many branches have meeting rooms available for use by for a small fee. All meetings must be free and open to the public.
