On July 1, 2015, the Northeast Georgia Talking Book Center will merge services with Georgia Libraries for Accessible Statewide Services (GLASS), based in Atlanta.

This consolidation will not change the services available to patrons. Reader's Advisory services will be available from the GLASS office six days a week to help patrons select and order books, and all online services such as BARD, BARD Mobile, and the OPAC book catalog site will remain unchanged.

Libraries are constantly evolving to better serve their communities, and we here at NEGATBC feel confident our patrons will consider this change a positive one. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us until June 30 at 1-855-583-2822 or 706-613-3655. Beginning July 1, patrons can reach GLASS at 1-800-248-6701.

Outreach

The Talking Book Center continually strives to educate the community about Talking Books and identify eligible patrons through outreach efforts. Staff members give presentations and demonstrations; attend meetings and support groups; host booths at expos and information fairs; and visit local libraries, schools, and institutions. If you are interested in having a staff member schedule a visit to your gathering or institution, please call the Center at 1-855-583-2822.
